RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work to develop and embed a fit for purpose enterprise-wide risk management within the organization in line with the requirements of the Risk Management Framework approved by the Board.
  • Calculate risk metrics and support the reporting of breaches to the Boards, Risk Committees and Executive management.
  • Manage the delivery of reports to the Risk Committees, Executive management, Boards and regulators as and when required and to a sufficient quality standard.
  • Work to manage the delivery of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment including risk appetite setting, annual ORSA report, business plan reviews, stress and scenario testing and analysis of emerging risks.
  • Work to manage the Internal Model validation process and production of validation reports.
  • Provide analytics to support the development and execution of the company’s strategy, with a focus on risk and quantitative analysis.
  • Establish & maintain effective working relationships with other business departments.
  • Present analysis to senior management.
  • Management of ERM & Analytics Analysts, including recruitment, performance reviews and employee relations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Solvency II regulations.
  • Track record of success in an insurance or consultancy organization, applying rigorous risk disciplines with high standards of delivery in a timely, cost effective way.
  • Knowledge of actuarial techniques and disciplines as well as a grasp of the commercial drivers and dynamics affecting the insurance sector.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with the various stakeholders across the organization and strong influencing and project management skills.
  • Business awareness and a high level of commercial understanding.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a relevant role.
  • Experience of managing more junior members of staff.
  • Qualified actuary or equivalent experience / qualification.
