  • Design innovative products in accordance with marketing strategies, while balancing competitive needs with company profit standards.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models, including development of the pricing assumptions, consistent with company standards.
  • Incorporate emerging actuarial requirements into our product pricing and procedures.
  • Develop explicit product specifications for new annuity insurance products including fixed income annuities.
  • Support new ventures and expanding sources of distribution by analyzing the relevant cost structures and unique factors inherent in each venture and designing appropriate products to meet business objectives.
  • Support Annuity Distribution with specialized product expertise, special case pricing, and product training.
  • Must maintain appropriate attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Will have an FSA, but candidates with an ASA and exceptionally strong product knowledge will be considered.
  • Demonstrated strengths in product development and distribution, along with marketing knowledge of fixed indexed annuity.
  • Experience with annuity product development and pricing; strong modeling skills using Excel, TAS, MoSes, APL, or similar software; and an understanding of stochastic modeling concepts.
  • Must possess the knowledge of the functions within an annuity insurance company and be effective in cross-functional projects.
  • Must be able to assimilate the requirements imposed both internally, by senior management, and externally, through regulators and professional standards boards, into our daily operations and financial management mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct personnel.
  • The ability to clearly articulate the benefits associated with given initiatives, and to motivate those responsible for.
  • Implementing new course of action, is necessary for the effective completion of the projects. Must be able to communicate technical results to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to make clear and concise recommendations to management in order to communicate the benefits and costs of initiatives.
  • Must work independently in identifying issues and resolutions.
