  • You will be supporting actuarial product teams in a broad range of consulting services and audit support assignments.
  • Will work closely with our senior actuaries on our appointed actuary services including actuarial liability valuation and financial condition testing, product development, advisory services on new IFRS and a variety of other consulting work.
  • Will support the team in re-performing the actuarial liabilities, analyze and review valuation methodologies and assumptions.
  • You will work directly with actuaries and other actuarial students on a variety of projects, including cross-functional projects with other departments within the company.
  • You will participate in business development activities such as development of service proposals and quotes, industry presentations, marketing material, as well fostering good communication with the clients to support relationship building.
  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, mathematics or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Actively pursuing the ACIA or FCIA qualification by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, ACAS or FCAS by Casualty Actuarial Society or recent FCIA.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the P&C insurance industry.
  • Experience in policy liability valuation and financial condition testing is an asset.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Strong work and business ethics, committed to client service and quality.
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent priorities.
  • Detail oriented and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in reserving or statistical applications such as Reserve Pro, Arius, R, @Risk, or other is an asset.
