RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Providing a broad range of analytical, research, and presentation preparation support.
  • Performing financial analyses, including developing and maintaining complex financial models and applying valuation tools for the purposes of evaluating investments and M&A opportunities.
  • Managing several projects and tasks at once, while working effectively as part of a team.
  • Conducting comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research.
  • Building & creating a credible relationship with both internal subject matter experts across the organizations & external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and interpreting daily current events relevant to the domestic and international P&C insurance markets, including regularly updating or creating intelligence databases & presentation materials.
  • Assisting in the management and execution of all aspects of a transaction process, including assessing the opportunity from both a strategic and financial perspective, conducting due diligence, reviewing deal documentation, and monitoring post-acquisition integration and results.
  • As part of the Corporate Development team, you will have significant opportunities to work with individuals across the company, including Senior Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role, investment banking, financial/analytics, or in an actuarial position; P&C insurance industry experience preferred.
  • A proven academic track record including a bachelors’ degree and/or masters’ is strongly preferred, specializing in finance, accounting, actuarial science or related discipline.
  • CFA designation or related designation preferred.
  • Superior analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Understanding and use of insurance metrics in analysis and financial valuation models.
  • Highly effective written and oral communication abilities.
  • High degree of maturity, autonomy, rigor and professionalism with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to play a key role as a team member in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel & data provider softwares.
