  • Conducts competitive research to support the development of business cases for new product initiatives.
  • Evaluates profitability of new products.
  • Performs advanced risk analysis using actuarial modeling software.
  • Analyzes and implements actuarial assumptions to be used in pricing models.
  • Prepares state filings and responds to inquiries.
  • Drafts product specifications for internal administrative systems.
  • Supports the integration of new products into the processes of other actuarial teams.
  • Assists in the review of marketing materials and other product literature.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field required.
  • At least 2 years of actuarial and business-related experience required.
  • Completion of at least 3 Society of Actuaries exams required and either obtained or pursuing an ASA or FSA designation.
  • Proficiency with actuarial systems and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision as well as the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from research and report on findings.
  • Ability to make decisions, use independent judgment, establish priorities, and work effectively on multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Strong communication skills.
