RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare budget projections.
  • Calculate employer/employee contribution rates, retiree rates, COBRA rates, imputed income rates, and IBNR estimates.
  • Prepare cost estimates for various benefit options.
  • Analyze vendor renewals.
  • Review vendor contracts.
  • Draft plan amendments and member communications.
  • Draft Summary Plan Descriptions and plan documents.
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
  • Up to four years of experience.
  • Completion of one or more CEBS or Society of Actuaries exams is a plus.
  • Experience with Taft-Hartley multiemployer health and welfare plans is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
