RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Technical support on pension and retiree health plan valuations.
  • Maintain and screen actuarial valuation databases.
  • Perform benefit calculations.
  • Prepare government filings.
  • Assist with defined benefit related studies and projects.
  • Participate in communicating with clients.
  • Responsible for achieving annual individual billing goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior actuaries.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, finance, accounting or other related field.
  • At least one passed Society of Actuaries exam highly preferred.
  • Experience in pension actuarial valuations, benefit calculations and defined benefit plan administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and use of required processing software/systems.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines with the highest degree of accuracy.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also exhibiting a strong team approach to managing and developing relationships.
  • Work with a positive attitude and is a positive influence on others.
