RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform data analyses and financial projections that impact foundational pricing and risk assumptions.
  • Perform financial analyses to support health plan and provider organization partners.
  • Develop actuarial models for use across multiple teams and projects.
  • Streamline processes to improve efficiency of key deliverables.
  • Collaborate with various functional areas across the company including Clinical, Finance, and Analytics.
  • Partner kith market teams including Operations and Provider Engagement.
  • Communicate actuarial concepts and concerns to company’s internal and external partners.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support data-driven insights to answer specific business questions that arise from company leadership and client physicians.
  • Play a key role in company’s partnerships with providers to change the way healthcare is delivered.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or related degree.
  • Candidates must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of one actuarial exam
  • Strong technical skills required in Microsoft office.
  • works hard, takes initiative, operates in ambiguity, and manages competing deadlines.

  • Is detail-oriented and owns his/her results.
  • Preferred:
  • Past actuarial experience and/or internship.
  • Understanding of Medicaid.
  • Experience with financial forecasting.
  • Familiarity or experience with medical/pharmacy claims.
  • Ability to read and write SQL and/or SAS code.
