RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support creation of the new Contact PL database.
  • Use new database sources to develop new reports and harmonize processes between regions.
  • Maintain, generate and validate monthly national actuarial databases for use by rest of the team and other actuarial stakeholders.
  • Propose and incorporate continuous improvements to tools and reports already in place.
  • Support and work with regional actuarial teams and other business partners in meeting special requests for data and analysis.
  • Maintain, generate and distribute reports to management and various stakeholders on a recurring basis.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Analyse reports, identify trends and provide commentary where applicable.
  • Take part in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Actuarial Science, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science or other relevant subject.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial industry is preferred; knowledge of insurance industry is an asset.
  • Ability and desire to learn/adapt quickly to a changing environment.
  • Ability to problem-solve and look for efficient, automated solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in effectively working within a multisite team and collaborating with several business partners.
  • Excellent knowledge of Office Suite, SAS, SQL, Business Object, Access, Power BI.
  • Working proficiency in English is required; bilingualism is an asset.
