  • Managing the portfolio data sent by cedents, and that contains life insurance policies and claims.
  • Dealing with other seriatim data files from internal and external sources.
  • Integrating the data from the various sources.
  • Providing data to downstream processes, assuring a very high quality standard.
  • Performing data analyses of the incoming data files to discover data patterns; understanding, visualizing, and summarizing the data; estimating the quality; and discovering oddities and outliers.
  • Automating the data processing of recurring data deliveries by designing and implementing ETL processes.
  • Understanding and extending the central data model to store all incoming data.
  • Taking over the data stewardship for the data quality, documentation of the data structure and content, and the archiving of the data.
  • Implementing and maintaining standard and ad-hoc data queries and reports.
  • Reviewing and improving data requirements.
  • Organizing and moderating training sessions and workshops.
  • Participating in projects to drive innovations and practical solutions.
  • Several years of experience in the re/insurance business.
  • Excellent analytical and statistical skills combined with practical experiences in tools like R or MATLAB, and the willingness to continuously improve your skills.
  • Practical experience implementing ETL processes for data imports and exports.
  • Very good database knowledge.
  • Practical experience with reporting tools like PowerBI, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, or R.
  • Experiences with version control systems like Visual Studio Team Services or Git.
  • Very high level of motivation paired with the capacity to take responsibility and work independently.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English.
