RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate efficiently and share all the necessary information with company teams as well as project sponsors.
  • Represent the project in Canada with all stakeholders of the various projects.
  • Support the project from a technical and technological standpoint to ensure team efficiency.
  • Develop innovative solutions for trend recognition using machine learning and advanced statistics.
  • Transform complex databases into relevant conclusions and recommendations.
  • Keep pace with new approaches and trends and use them in your own solutions.
  • Help maintain our data mining tools and platforms.
  • Work with other departments to promote the adoption of analytical principles within the organization.
  • Validate the quality of the analytical approach and project outputs of the other team members.
  • Communicate the results and performance of the models to Management.
  • Make actionable recommendations based on the findings.
  • Work closely with our management team to develop the onboarding programs and the best form of Agile to be deployed.
  • Help onboard our new local colleagues by sharing your expertise and training them.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum two years of experience within Data Science, IT Services or an actuarial team.
  • Post-secondary education in Machine Learning, Data Science or degree in Actuarial Science.
  • Ability to focus on vaguely defined issues requiring the application of a creative approach.
  • Good knowledge of open-source frameworks: R, Python, Spark, Scala, TensorFlow or equivalent.
  • Strong influencing, team spirit, networking and leadership skills.
