RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement complex pricing algorithms using a variety of tools and programs.
  • Process rate changes by uploading into rate books.
  • Provide input into planning and processes.
  • Administer and support deployment preparation activities.
  • Respond to incidents and defects and provide updates into JIRA along with related documentation.
  • Automate processes and programs to support actuarial analysis.
  • Participate in defining testing scenarios for each requirement that is going to be delivered.
  • Support the Business Owner in all activities pertaining to Acceptance Testing.
  • Develop, implement, and execute test cases to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Document test results and present findings to commercial insurance leadership.
  • Validate the correctness of delivered requirements in advance of the active business owner reviewing completed work.
  • Assist the Developers in gathering additional details concerning specific requirements.
  • Participate in meetings to define and optimize required business rate change processes to achieve business goals.
  • Identify potential areas of risk related to algorithm design and implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University/college degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related quantitative field.
  • Programming experience.
  • Experience developing and executing test cases and working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and strong problem solving skills with the ability to gather information and analyze and solve through complexities.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of insurance products is an asset.
