RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively seek to be involved in a variety of work to ensure a broad skill set is maintained and developed.
  • Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients.
  • Keep up-to-date with new regulations and methodologies and seek to understand the impact upon the Practice.
  • Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client’s broader business issues.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects.
  • Lead or contribute to the development of the company’s intellectual capital including plans for taking this to market.
  • Think issues through and devise new approaches for creating opportunities.
  • Establish a public reputation in a chosen specialism through the production of articles and presentations.
  • Meet goals for billable hours, intellectual capital development, and revenue generation.
  • Develop and present proposals to potential clients, demonstrating the economic value of the company’s offerings.
  • Use contacts within current network; obtain introductions to new contacts; work to develop supporters for company’s products and services.
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels.
  • Serve as manager or mentor to more junior associates.
  • Manage and develop the team in the local office.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in consulting firm, financial services organization or insurance firm.
  • Masters or higher academic qualification in the area of actuarial science, financial risk, mathematics, statistics or other related discipline.
  • Qualified actuaries or candidates who have demonstrated good progress with the actuarial examinations.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills in Czech, Slovak or another CEE language.
  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis.
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge, experience with actuarial software.
  • Ability to work with R, SAS and VBA will be a bonus.
  • Significant experience of managing complex client projects or internal projects.
  • Experience of leading and growing a team will be highly regarded.
  • Deep understanding of economic/market issues and the ability to interpret their impact on clients.
  • Proven experience successfully managing projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to work within ambiguity.
  • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Strong analytical and creative skills.
