RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct the teams assigned to business intelligence reporting and data analytics projects, continue to grow skillset/experience by training and coaching to think creatively while conducting assigned workload.
  • Implement best practices in data analytics and data management processes to ensure optimal usage of data and applications in the department.
  • Perform forecast pricing, budgeting, performance management, and econometrics of products.
  • Lead predictive analytics to improve the sophistication of our pricing, marketing, and cost management functions.
  • Deliver the organization’s information needs for today, while simultaneously positioning a team to deliver future information needs. Ultimately responsible for the satisfaction of information customers and ensuring a team delivers that satisfaction.
  • Deliver all assigned business reporting accurately and on time.
  • Contribute to software requirements, user stories and process maps to ensure consistency with the company’s business analytic information architecture.
  • Manages the design consultation, develops and summarizes conclusions gained from analyzing data using statistical and visualization tools like Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, SSRS, Alteryx, Sales Force and others.
  • Use a high level of knowledge of the Healthcare Sharing marketplace to recommend strategic, data driven decisions for our product and service teams.
  • Ensures that all analysis is actionable for business process owners, enabling leaders of key areas to build, implement and identify solutions to address business performance gaps.
  • Develops measurements and reporting of participation in population health, medical management and quality programs for strategy development to grow and improve results, as appropriate.
  • Identifies and addresses expected and unforeseen data issues to ensure the accuracy of reporting and analytics, ensuring any resulting business decisions are made from accurate findings.
  • Provides department leadership with training and the development of the Business Analytics department.
  • Develop talent within the department by shaping the knowledge sharing culture and improving technical skillsets.
  • All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, computer science, information science, engineering, data science or relevant field with 6-8 years’ relevant working experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ project and people management experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working with Healthcare data is required.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of modern business analytics technology.
  • Ability to elicit customer requirements, validate them with customers and communicate them to a team.
  • Advanced knowledge working with large datasets from multiple, seemingly unrelated sources.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex analysis and make recommendations based on statistical inferences.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage projects.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately present analytical findings using a variety of tools to senior management.
  • Concise, impactful, credible and authentic writing communication style.
  • Ability to apply advanced principles, theories and concepts to job assignments and contributes to the development of new ideas and principles.
  • Expert skill with Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced knowledge in SQL, Tableau, SSRS and Sales Force.
  • Proven track record in the ability to lead and drive change and process improvement.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively in written, oral, and digital formats that build engagement and interest with all levels inside and outside the ministry.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to diagnose complex problems and issues with data not easily understood.
  • Strong computer skills, ability to access, research, use, and maximize data from cloud and software based programs.
  • Data Collection & Analysis, provide effective and efficient collection and distribution of data without the need for supervision.
  • Leadership, has the ability to provide day-to-day leadership and management that mirrors the purpose, mission and core values of the company.
