RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the implementation of small business pricing plans for business owners, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella products
  • Develop and maintain portfolio simulation tools to support pricing decisions
  • Design and execute on a testing strategy to ensure pricing plans are programmed correctly
  • Support small business pricing team in conducting competitor and market research to support rate filings and addressing objections from Departments of Insurance
  • train and guide both new and experienced analysts
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, actuarial science or other related fields
  • Minimum of five years of actuarial experience and designated as Fellow or Associate in the Casualty Actuarial Society
  • Detailed knowledge of the pricing of major P&C commercial lines of insurance (business owners, auto, workers' compensation)
  • Experience with statistical tools (SAS, R, Python) and the manipulation of large data sets
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a large number of competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior management experience is preferred but not required
