RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Update pricing assumptions used in rate indications, produce indicated overall rate level changes.
  • Contribute to proposals for new and innovative approaches for pricing, underwriting, and product design based on statistical analyses, a good understanding of P&C insurance products, and awareness of the company business strategy.
  • Create new and improve existing analytical tools and models.
  • Communicate complex technical models and results to colleagues in the business and provide recommendations.
  • Mentor team members across the Pricing COE.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge and experience with Emblem.
  • Insurance knowledge and experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge in pricing and/or predictive modelling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels.
  • Excellent computer skills and programming proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
