RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Compiles, categorizes, and analyzes data.
  • Assists in developing proposal/rating software.
  • Assists in building, maintaining, and running actuarial models.
  • Assists in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Assists in the pricing of products.
  • Assists in analyzing risks for lines of business.
  • Drafts actuarial memoranda and rate manuals with supervision.
  • Assists in analyzing reinsurance opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar background requiring modeling, programming, or quantitative analysis.
  • At least three actuarial exams required and shows exam progress as defined by the company Actuarial Development Program.
  • At least two years of actuarial work experience.
  • Demonstrated work product accuracy.
  • Effective verbal & written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend actuarial concepts and other advanced statistical concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to think logically and perform actuarial methods in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively operate personal computer and related spreadsheets and data base software.
