RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage complex projects such as premium rate filings, yearend actuarial opinions, actuarial software tools, and industry studies including the National Risk Adjustment Reporting project.
  • Work with clients directly to understand the project, gather data and information, and communicate the results.
  • Draft reports documenting the methods, assumptions and results of our work with direct supervision of Senior Consulting Actuaries and Principals.
  • Lead the development of internal tools, software and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the direction of the company moving forward and support growth in niche areas.
  • Mentor actuarial analysts and interns.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Medicaid actuarial experience, but not more than 10 years.
  • Current on government regulation and guidance as well as analytic techniques and methodologies, data sources.
  • Credentialed Actuary.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, or related discipline required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid lines of business.
  • Client management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Working knowledge of database/statistical analysis language.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness and aptitude for detail work.
