RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead projects from inception to completion, anticipating obstacles and ensuring timely completion. Examples of such projects include financial forecasting, cost & utilization trend reporting, membership projections, as well as ad hoc analytic requests.
  • Monitor the release of the Advance and Final Notices and synthesize the likely impact to the company MA product.
  • Recommend and tailor MA strategies to the markets.
  • Independently create and maintain actuarial models that justify those strategies and build consensus among stakeholders.
  • Consult and communicate actuarial results and recommended actions to both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences.
  • Establish streamlined reporting processes and workflows that allow for monitoring emerging experience and recommending corrective actions.
  • Mentor junior associates and accelerate their development.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate Certification credentialed from the Society of Actuaries obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 plus years of experience preferred.
  • Actuarial experience preferred.
  • SQL Server experience preferred.
