RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and implement effective management and supervisory reporting systems as predictive analytics tools to assist the company's supervisory, authorisation, and licensing teams in review of financial institution prudential returns and other information in fulfilment of the respective team’s mandate. To achieve this, the postholder will use machine learning techniques to produce predictive models based upon structured modelling, natural language processing and pattern recognition.
  • Identify and gather data from internal and external sources to achieve effective predictive qualitative and quantitative analytics in relation to financial institution solvency, risk management, governance and general regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in managing data-warehouse and carry out data manipulation and data analysis on large data sets, comprising of financial returns.
  • Create detailed reports from data sets and provide insight for the prudential supervision and stakeholders engagements.
  • Train relevant staff in interpreting the output from the automated predictive reporting tools.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and produce statistical reports at both the financial institution and aggregate industry levels as required.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to develop scalable insights for internal and external stakeholder.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of commercial experience.
  • Machine learning techniques, including natural language processing and pattern recognition.
  • Applied math and statistics and statistical techniques in finance and data analysis.
  • Software engineering, and experienced with Python, R or other common programming languages.
  • Experienced in machine learning application in finance multivariate modelling using structured and unstructured data.
  • Microsoft Suite including Advanced Excel Data Modelling.
  • Data visualization using business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI and strong communication skills in translating analytical insights.
  • Minimum of Master’s degree in Math/Statistics/Econometrics /Actuarial Science or equivalent discipline.
  • Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance markets and digital assets would be a distinct advantage.
