RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Thorough understanding of the underlying SII and EC frameworks and key concepts.
  • Complete understanding of the team’s responsibilities regarding the periodic reporting requirements and performing assigned processes.
  • Proficiently documenting relevant methodologies and results, and presenting reporting and analysis results to various stakeholders.
  • Complete understanding of the relevant cashflow projection models and leading the team’s processes regarding the model operation.
  • Ensuring relevant cashflow projection models accurately and timely perform required model evaluations to support periodic SII and EC reporting requirements and annual SII and EC projects.
  • Collaborating with company’s Model Development team on continuous model enhancements and performing associated model user acceptance testing.
  • Leading the team’s efforts in supporting the model software transition project to GGY-AXIS.
  • Leading the team’s efforts in supporting the annual unlocking procedures.
  • Proficiently documenting relevant methodologies and results, and presenting model evaluation and analysis results to various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of company’s input requirements regarding Group’s Internal Model and supporting the team’s input submission processes.
  • Understanding of the company’s validation processes regarding Group’s Internal Model and supporting the team’s validation processes utilizing applicable software applications and tools.
  • Understanding of Group’s Internal Model framework and pro-actively engaging with the company Group contacts responsible for the operation and validation of Group’s Internal Model.
  • Pro-actively collaborating with colleagues in company’s Actuarial and Finance teams and Group contacts on relevant projects.
  • Supporting the team on other projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS/BA Math/Statistics or related field.
  • ASA preferred.
  • 5+ years of life insurance / actuarial experience.
  • Significant actuarial modeling / programming experience.
  • Prior experience with Solvency II and/or Economic Capital frameworks.
  • Experience with Term Life and Universal Life business preferred.
  • Experience with Pension Risk Transfer business desirable.
  • Excellent actuarial analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
