  • Ensures that all reinsurance data is processed in a timely, complete and accurate manner so that data integrity is maintained.
  • Ensures that the data is high quality and meets the needs of key business partners, including; clients, underwriting, pricing, claims, accounting, valuation, biometrics, analytics, taxation, capital management, asset/liability management and financial reporting functions. 
  • Develops pragmatic data transformation solutions for the digitalization of the company’s end-to-end operational infrastructure.
  • Maintains appropriate governance, security, and control over the data processing environment.
  • Fosters a management approach that encourages and rewards Continuous Process Improvement to ensure that transaction processing is continually improved and optimized resulting in efficient and effective processes and balanced staffing levels.
  • Determines and communicates group and team member Key Performance Indicators, including reporting to the leadership team.
  • Ensures regular internal and external audits are well established to assist in the identification and implementation of required operational improvements and influence the adoption of best practices.
  • Shares best practices and processes globally.
  • Develop relationships with all internal stakeholders and gain an in-depth understanding of business requirements, and how the data is being utilized downstream.
  • Develops relationships with peers in the re/insurance administration departments at client companies to ensure smooth flow of data between the two organizations and influence the quality and timeliness of data reporting.
  • Represents the leadership team and assists with the resolution of challenges or problems that may arise.
  • Hires and develops a high performance team that is highly engaged and recognized as experts both internally throughout the global organization and externally amongst our clients.
  • Ensures all employees have a clear understanding of corporate and departmental objectives, and that every employee has challenging personal objectives.
  • Provides challenging tasks and assignments and holds frequent development discussions with employees to provide career growth and development.
  • 10+ years related operations and re/insurance experience.
  • In depth understanding of the North American re/insurance market.
  • Energizes and motivates a team to work together as a unit to meet team and individual goals.
  • Ability to define a vision and strategy, and execute.
  • Demonstrated leadership, Executive presence and team management skills.
  • Proven history of creating, growing and sustaining a strong productive team.
  • Communicates well with all levels - Executive, peers, staff.
  • Supports and champions his/her position on an issue.
  • Leads major improvement initiatives.
  • Focus on client service and partnership.
  • Understands technology and how it can be leveraged for operational success.
  • Actuarial, LOMA or other insurance designations.
  • Knowledge of relevant privacy laws, regulations and standards.
