RESPONSIBILITIES
  • With the broader team, define a global approach to actuarial modelling on a cloud-based platform.
  • Provide technical expertise on GGY software usage, including dataset configuration, DataLink and EnterpriseLink scripting and computing requirements analysis.
  • Identify and work with internal and experts to implement software and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Work with key internal and external partners to ensure effective utilization of available actuarial modelling features and computing platforms.
  • Collaborate with global project team and support areas to ensure timely and effective support and training to our actuarial modellers across our organization.
  • Advance company-wide actuarial modelling and data management best practices, working alongside the Model Council and project teams to support their mandates and vision.
  • Guide actuarial valuation teams to enhance global actuarial modelling and computing knowledge base.
  • Work with controls, finance and audit teams to define common, automated control processes.
  • Facilitate full GGY EnterpriseLink implementation to support global actuarial modelling best practices and governance throughout our organization.
  • Support ongoing QlikView application development for evolving actuarial modelling and reporting requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Actuarial modelling and programming expertise, including GGY AXIS software and modelling knowledge.
  • Superior analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in exercising flexibility and judgment in assessing business and technical risks.
  • Strong relationship management and leadership skills with ability to communicate effectively diplomatically and effectively with clients, peers, business leaders, software and hardware vendors and representatives of the industry.
