  • Providing strong technical and strategic CAT risk management and modeling support.
  • Providing deep understanding of risk assessment results, assumptions and limitations with vendor and non-vendor models.
  • Build models and tools to help clients manage risk from catastrophes.
  • Use proprietary software to design and manage catastrophe reinsurance programs.
  • Improving analytical processes to achieve greater efficiency and better results for clients.
  • Communicate analytical ideas with multiple audiences.
  • BS + 2-3 years’ experience or MS degree in a math, engineering, or science related field.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Earthquake Science, Meteorology, or Hydrology.
  • Catastrophe model building or analytical/quantitative modeling pertaining to the insurance or a related industry is required.
  • Expertise in Statistical/Probabilistic Risk Modeling is a must.
  • High level of proficiency in data analysis and data manipulation software tools.
  • Proficient programming skills in Python, R, or similar.
  • Knowledge of GIS preferred, including experience with ArcGIS.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written.
