  • Leading and participating in the creation and implementation of efficient, easy to maintain portfolio forecasting models, including liaising with business partners, identifying specific impacts and ensuring forecasting is comprehensive and complete.
  • Regularly communicating insights to stakeholders, including assessment of the portfolio’s health and profitability forecasting.
  • Driving profitability initiatives by performing diagnostic analysis and measuring success following implementation.
  • Collaborating with business units to provide fact-based forecasts of benefits to facilitate the business case development process.
  • Coaching and developing your team, recruiting and selecting talent, managing and rewarding performance, and fostering an agile culture to deliver on strategic objectives.
  • You have seven years of actuarial experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, including people leadership experience.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Statistics or Actuarial Science.
  • Having the Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society designation/s is an asset.
  • You have expert knowledge of advanced and applied analytics and actuarial and financial concepts.
  • You build trusting relationships and provide feedback to enable the successful development of your team and colleagues.
  • You foster innovation and continuous improvement with a focus on client experience.
  • You facilitate the adoption of change and create a high-performance culture through alignment of your team’s work with organizational goals.
  • You successfully convey messages and demonstrate openness to exploring alternative points of view.
