  • You will lead the process for quotes ensuring an effective allocation of work within the team.
  • Ensure high quality delivery in a timely and efficient manner, follow internal guidelines and authorities.
  • Develop a close working relationship with other departments to ensure their considerations are properly addressed within the quote.
  • You will use well-developed data and expertise in pricing new business for the individual life and living benefits portfolios, applying sound knowledge and understanding of reinsurance structures, treaty provisions, client’s risks, and company’s risk tolerance and standards.
  • You address the needs of clients in a timely, proactive and professional manner, advising management of any business issues impacting the company and/or the client, making recommendations and taking action to resolve concerns.
  • You will push the boundaries of traditional insurance by facilitating client’s desire to modernize data and underwriting processes, while assessing the implications on reinsurance.

  • University Degree in Actuarial Science or similar and a Fellow of SOA.
  • 5-10+ years in life re/insurance pricing and/or valuation area.
  • Deep understanding of re/insurance concepts with knowledge of individual life and living benefits products and business.
  • Excellent track record managing client relationships either in a client facing role or in a cross-functional project leadership capacity.
  • Passionate about serving clients and exceeding their expectations.
  • Leadership abilities, with experience in developing a teamwork environment and a positive work environment and attitude in direct reports.
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with Moody’s AXIS.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and effectiveness working under tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
