  • Production, underwriting, and negotiation of new and renewal Property treaty accounts in accordance with underwriting guidelines, and subject to authority grants.
  • Work closely with actuarial and risk modeling units to develop appropriate technical pricing for each individual treaty.
  • Monitor performance of individual accounts, and identify/address emerging issues.
  • Develop production goals, and actively participate in broker marketing/industry events.
  • Analyze contract wording for accuracy and compliance with negotiated terms/guidelines.
  • Perform underwriting reviews of client portfolios, and compile detailed written reports.
  • Participate in executive projects, and support operational objectives as respects the Property portfolio.
  • Minimum 5 years of Property Treaty experience.
  • Experience should include heavy commercial portfolios for Super-Regional, National, and Excess & Surplus Line writers.
  • Background should also include primary property or facultative experience.
  • Excellent understanding of various actuarial methodologies and ability to discuss technical pricing concepts.
  • Good understanding of vendor catastrophe models.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to offer creative solutions.
  • Ability to develop strong broker and client relationships.
  • Sound understanding of primary coverage issues and rates.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • An excellent communicator, and capable of working in a culturally, and geographically, diverse environment.
  • Should have strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, including: professional appearance, good presentation skills; personal initiative, a sense of entrepreneurship, creativity, and the ability to direct energy towards client focused solution building.
  • Should be able to work effectively in both a team and independently, possess good time management skills, be strongly focused on delivery, think strategically, and be eager to learn/try new things.
