RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyzes internal and external mortality experience to underwrite pension plan mortality assumptions for case pricing
  • Works with Investments develop case-specific investment strategy assumptions and supports inforce business ALM where required
  • Develops pricing and risk analyses that form recommendations for PRT case bids
  • Assists in the review of, and development of, group annuity contract terms
  • Supports a broad array of actuarial functions as needed, including but not limited to: experience studies and development of actuarial assumptions, performance management and reporting, valuation of reserves and capital requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar background requiring modeling, programming, or quantitative analysis.
  • FSA required.
  • Typically 5 to 7 years of actuarial experience.
  • Expert knowledge of actuarial business functions, statistical methods of analysis, actuarial models, actuarial software and databases.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office products, analytical software and programming languages.
  • Basic level of organizational agility and conflict management. Proficient level of command skills, strategic agility, delegation, motivating others, business perspective, and accounting.
  • Mastery level of perspective, problem solving, customer focus, dealing with ambiguity, drive for results, analysis, learning.
