  • Provide vision and leadership in operational risk quantification and scenario-based analysis, maintain ongoing documentation of these practices, and train colleagues on the use of these practices as part of their second line of defence duties. Ensure functional coordination of a small work team in charge of handling these matters.
  • Conduct complex and cross-cutting risk analyses and oversee knowledge transfer to employees.
  • Coordinate and handle the organization’s external risk transfer needs and contribute to risk pooling.
  • Handle requests requiring input from multiple risk management teams, potentially originating from the regulator, internal audit or any other requester.
  • Draft reports/summaries of the results of the work in clear, simple language for the first and second line of defence functions, as well as senior management.
  • Stay up to date on trends and innovations in operational risk management and measurement approaches and techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in administration, finance, actuarial science, mathematics, economics or in a related field.
  • A minimum of eight years of a relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree or graduate level diploma.
  • Experience in producing scenario analyses.
  • Experience in financial modelling, particularly in producing economic capital calculations.
  • Hold the CPA, CA, FRM, CFA, FCIA or equivalent designations.
  • Knowledge of French is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of the relationship between the calculation and allocation of economic capital in operational risk and other practices of an operational risk management framework.
  • Proficient speaker, advanced knowledge of English.
