RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proactively developing monitoring for our portfolios, analyzing results, identifying trends and delivering actionable insights, and acting as a leader in developing innovative solutions to problems of significant complexity through the analysis and application of new concepts.
  • Foreseeing and interpreting the clients’ needs to determine solutions for unique requests and influencing business partners to initiate action based on profitability analysis and key insights.
  • Researching, recommending, and applying various methods to resolve complex problems that are unique and unprecedented, and actively seeking out emerging techniques and methodologies that enable delivering solution in projects where we have complex challenges.
  • Leveraging predictive and prescriptive analytics to understand and forecast the impact of complex initiatives and identifying profitability concerns.
  • Leading and executing medium to large sized projects by defining a project plan, coaching team members on technical and modeling topics, and promoting team involvement and increasing efficiency as a team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • You have six years of experience in the Property and Casualty actuarial, modeling and programming or a related field.
  • You have completed a post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or a related discipline.
  • You have expert knowledge of modelling processes, modelling softwares and advanced actuarial concepts.
  • Having or working towards the Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society destination/s is an asset.
  • You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.  
  • You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions.
  • You have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view. 
  • You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.
