  • Provide general asset modeling support to Canadian and U.S. participating businesses.
  • Maintain and run CALM valuation models for quarterly reporting and economic sensitivities.
  • Perform attribution analyses for U.S. Asset Adequacy Testing.
  • Run AXIS models to support annual dividend recommendation and DCAT capital testing.
  • Update process documents for business continuity and model vetting.
  • Participate in valued projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Strong knowledge in various actuarial concepts and their application to life insurance - probability, interest theory, life contingencies.
  • Demonstrated strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; great teammate.
  • Can perform tasks with minimal direct supervision and proven ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge in database software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of VBA macros and actuarial modeling software is preferred but not required.
