RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the development and implementation of the strategic planning process across the Emerging Markets in achieving our bold ambition with defined strategic initiatives and implementation roadmap.
  • Prepare the strategy deliverables and presentations for each business unit with inputs and content from local teams and seek alignment across key functions in the region.
  • Monitor industry developments, trends and market intelligence; perform benchmarking analysis and peer comparison.
  • Support ad-hoc special projects to support the growth of the Emerging Markets businesses.
  • Work with senior members of the team and business units to develop KPIs and review process to enhance engagement and ownership to drive performance.
  • Regularly track and report on progress of strategy execution and provide action-oriented recommendations.
  • Perform efficiency based forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
  • Support the development and implementation of Portfolio Management strategy.
  • Work with senior members of the team & other stakeholders in the regional office to develop robust tracking process & tools to closely monitor progress on all initiatives across the six Emerging Markets.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts; work closely with the regional and business units’ finance team to ensure accurate reporting and decision support.
  • Analyze financial and operational data and perform variance analysis to identify future trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Coordinate meetings and manage communication among key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner.
  • Act as an internal reviewer to ensure deliverables are of highest standards and take action as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • 3-5 years’ relevant experiences in finance services industry.
  • Broad Asian network and Asia experience preferred.
  • Native English required, an additional Asian language an advantage.
  • Has the initiative and drive to take ownership of tasks. Not be afraid to ask questions when in doubt and a sense of urgency to drive things to completion quickly.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with incomplete information, but continue to push tasks through based on known information, common sense and asking the right questions
  • Important to pay extra attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of work is submitted to senior management for their review.

  • Ability to understand and translate financial information and actuarial/accounting data into useful and applicable information.
  • Ability to drive projects to execution by developing deliverables timelines and effectively managing stakeholders.
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills are required to convey key messages in a succinct manner.
  • Expert skills on PowerPoint with the ability to tell a story and sell a message. Can analyze large quantities of data, generate charts in Excel.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel. Culturally sensitive to work with people of diverse backgrounds in Asia.
