RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of pension risk transfer quotations.
  • Sign-off on the financial metrics for quotations at or below his/her authorization limit.
  • Support DBS in achieving its pension risk transfer sales targets, including participating in sales calls and preparing customized quotations.
  • Complete all dashboards, feasibility studies and research required to support pension risk transfer pricing.
  • Partner with Investment and ALM teams to identify investment and risk management strategies to optimize pricing opportunities while meeting risk / return objectives and constraints.
  • Partner with the Longevity Research team to obtain in depth analysis and insights on specific risk transfer transactions.
  • Maintain and improve the DBS pricing models and associated pricing infrastructure, processes and procedures.
  • Lead a DBS pricing team, contributing to the development of high quality actuarial resources for the company.
  • Build strong relationships in the external pension consulting industry in order to: stay current on DB pension plan trends and legislative developments, gather competitive market intelligence to improve quotation success, and generate new business opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • FCIA designation.
  • 7 or more years of actuarial experience.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills that allow for deep actuarial analysis.
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to network within the pension consulting community.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent people skills in order to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities to build a skilled and high performing team.
