  • Lead and develop the pricing function and portfolio profitability management.
  • Coordinate, prepare and perform pricing analyses including trends, to drive portfolio and risk level profitability, and support strategic direction of the organization.
  • Liaise with relevant functional stakeholders, to continuously monitor and provide insights into underwriting performance and implications for the business.
  • Balance pricing and reserving views on performance to ensure cross functional alignment and challenge where warranted.
  • Influence and collaborate with Underwriting on strategic portfolio and individual account pricing decisions.
  • Liaise with Regional and Global pricing community to establish and maintain adequate pricing governance.
  • Provide training to the Underwriting community and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that data, methodology and processes used in analyses are fit for purpose.
  • Opine on the flow and quality of relevant data, working cross functionally to ensure required quality and granularity is available for analyses.
  • Ensure awareness of profitability measures and business dynamics throughout relevant parts of the organization.
  • Provide informed actuarial recommendations based on professional judgment and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or Mathematics/Statistics.
  • 5+ years of experience in the actuarial field with some pricing.
  • Qualified or nearly Qualified with local actuarial body.
  • Dutch and English language spoken and written at a high level.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of the actuarial pricing concepts and good understanding of the actuarial reserving concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics and actuarial modelling.
  • Knowledge of product development within insurance.
  • Proficient with Excel, MS office suite and preferably programming languages such as R, VBA, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good negotiation skills.
