RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Providing strategic and operational financial advisory services to one or more of the company’ lines of business.
  • Providing strategic decision support on key initiatives, programs and the day-to-day operations of the sector to support the company achieving its strategy.
  • Developing and enhancing financial models to provide decision support.
  • Leading and insightful analysis to extract and drive value for the business.
  • Performing technical accounting analysis for complex business transactions.
  • Using analytical and visualization tools, make strategic recommendations to various clients across various issues.
  • Building relationships and developing trust with internal and external clients.
  • Providing advice, challenge, and coaching in the client’s development of annual business plans, annual financial plans, periodic financial statements, financial forecasts; cost estimates; business cases; and assumptions used in financial models.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Commerce or in a related field.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant work experience and increasing responsibilities working in related Finance positions.
  • Professional Accounting Designation is a requirement, however, other designations such as a chartered Financial Analyst, Fellow of the Society of Actuaries may be considered when factoring in relevant experience.
  • Experience in building financial models for decision support.
  • Experience in programming/coding financial models - preference for R, Python or Alteryx.
  • Experience with analytical and visualization tools and demonstrating ability in using these tools to drive extract value for the business.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Experience in supporting complex issues/issue resolution, negotiation especially under time constraints with limited information.
  • Demonstrated ability in understanding business models, the drivers of value and understanding how to optimize/extract the most value from the business models.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial, legislative, and regulatory environments.
  • Organizational skills to manage several ongoing and competing projects.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in a very basic manner.
