  • Being able to independently structure and complete more complex modeling analyses.
  • Evaluate cedant exposure data, produce modeling losses, and provide technical pricing indications for the cat component of proportional and per risk contracts.
  • Price stand-alone catastrophe excess of loss contracts using a combination of cat modeling results, cedant historical experience, and additional market methods.
  • Participate in catastrophe model evaluation, sensitivity testing and calibration studies.
  • Proactively support the development of the global team as a recognized center of excellence for catastrophe risk management.
  • The ability to work directly with other teams from the Americas including Risk Management, Actuarial, and Underwriting.
  • Willingness to travel and represent the company in a professional way with external clients.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline or related field desired.
  • Relevant catastrophe modeling experience in Re/insurance setting and working knowledge of catastrophe modeling applications.
  • 3- 5 years of Treaty and/or Pricing experience desired but not required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required; ability to multi-task.
  • Clear communicator, able to structure an argument and ability to explain complex issues in a simple way.
  • Highly motivated and excellent team player.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and ability to manipulate and format data sets.
  • SQL, GIS, VBA, R skills advantageous.
