  • Accountability for timely completion and delivery of month-end and quarter-end reporting to Canadian Finance, Canadian Actuarial and GB leadership
  • Completion of Risk Control Self-Assessments, including risk identification and assessment, control evaluation and action planning.
  • Accountable for oversight of GB’s compliance with the Third Party Risk Management Policy, working with Supplier Relationship Managers and Vendor Management teams to provide training and policy interpretation and direction for compliance.
  • Accountable for effective engagement of project stakeholders and communicating project updates to ensure buy in and successful project implementation.
  • Assist with identification of key process risks and align to applicable policies, procedures, business practices and controls.
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on Group Benefits compliance with policies; assist with disseminating, communicating and embedding new policies and requirements within Group Benefits.
  • Provide risk consulting expertise and lead risk reviews for key business projects, product changes, digital initiatives and process changes in Group Benefits.
  • Accountable for identifying and implementing ongoing continuous improvement opportunities within the Risk and Finance team.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Enterprise Risk Management, including Operational Risk Management and/or Compliance Risk Management.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively while managing multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, flexible to changing priorities and timelines, and able to deal with ambiguity in processes.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior management and effectively communicate technical risk information to a broader audience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Group Benefits or insurance knowledge.
  • Project Management experience.
  • 3-4 years of analytical experience.
