RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide Management with view on quality of book of business and any emerging trends which impact quality of business moving forward, competitiveness of book, and emerging trends going forward.
  • Provide Management with a view on the quality of the book of business and any emerging trends which will impact business quality going forward.
  • Provide Management ongoing insight as to the competitiveness of company’s book of business and any emerging trends which will impact key performance indicators going forward.
  • Monitoring the impact of business decisions including rate or underwriting changes to ensure the impact is in line with expectations.
  • Analyzing changes or new initiatives made in the market and provide insight as to the impact on the Personal Insurance book of business.
  • Work with analytics group to develop robust and automated monitoring framework.
  • Support regional pricing and business development teams in understanding their mix of business, retention, growth, profitability, and competitive position and advising on adjustments as needed.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis for deep dives into key areas where additional insight is required.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with Actuarial Pricing, Segment Managers, Business Development and Performance Management to ensure understanding and effective and efficient delivery of stakeholder needs.
  • Promote strong culture built on joint accountability, collaboration, work ethic, positive attitude and desire to challenge for greater goals and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics and/or related fields.
  • ACAS/FCAS designation.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a similar analytical or business intelligence environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clear, concise and on the mark analysis and commentary to target audiences.
  • Ability to distill large amounts of data into key insights and areas of opportunity.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently in fast paced environment, while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAS language.
  • Preferred knowledge of Qlik Sense.
  • Preferred knowledge experience in scripting/coding modern languages like Python.
  • Deep knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance industry.
