  • Provide consulting, actuarial and analytics support on various insurance business lines and programs.
  • Coordinate pricing and loss reserving analysis as well as pro forma financial modeling.
  • Provide actuarial support to senior consulting staff on consulting mandates including production of reports, presentations, summary analyses, client communications, etc.
  • Leverage technical skills to assist with the streamlining of processes, increasing efficiencies and providing additional perspectives on tackling challenging actuarial problems.
  • Provide assistance with coaching and supporting the development of junior actuarial resources.
  • Develop analysis and recommendations related to strategic bidding processes for partner relationships on behalf of our clients.
  • Provide client-facing support on both technical and strategic issues.
  • Apply advanced mathematical and actuarial concepts and techniques when completing analytics and reporting for management and clients.
  • Partner with a variety of personnel, both actuarial and non-actuarial alike, in supporting the development, analysis and enhancement to various marketplace Affinity solutions developed for our clients. Supported solutions include both property & casualty and life and health insurance business lines, as well as the development of ancillary non-insurance benefits/solutions that support client needs.
  • Casualty Actuarial Society or Society of Actuaries required.
  • Focus on Property & Casualty General Actuarial exams.
  • Approximately 4 - 6 years of working experience in the actuarial field, ideally with a focus on property & casualty actuarial consulting.
  • Experience with standard actuarial pricing and/or reserving techniques.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and solid knowledge of other MS software.
  • Experience with actuarial programming in languages such as R.
  • Ability to perform in-depth investigations to support problem identification and development of effective, creative solutions.
  • Ideal candidate performs best in a team environment and must comfortable interacting with all levels of colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English highly preferred but not required.
