RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing operational activities to ensure effective delivery of BI solutions, including planning, project management, solution design, and development and testing.
  • Participating in and contributing to the development of BI strategies, best practices, architecture, and design and ensuring these elements are applied to BI solutions.
  • Collaborating with the BI leadership team, Information Technology, and business partners throughout the project lifecycle to ensure specified requirements are achieved.
  • Overseeing the development of dashboards and the delivery of self-service functionalities for projects, including providing key metrics and data to inform strategic decision support and delivering quality information with the right level of validation and reconciliation.
  • Coaching and developing your team, recruiting and selecting talent, managing and rewarding performance, and fostering an agile culture to deliver on strategic objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • You have 10 of experience in Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Data Management or related field, with knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial, IT, Finance or a related discipline.    
  • You have expert knowledge of data design, programming languages, and project management methodologies, with in-depth knowledge of BI tools and insurance products, systems, metrics, and concepts.
  • Having the Associate Casualty Actuarial Society or Fellowship Casualty Actuarial Society designation/s would be an asset.  
  • Having a MSc or MBA would be an asset.
