RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the day to day delivery of the Actuarial Work stream of the IFRS 17 program and proactively identify, raise and manage risks.
  • Collaborate with other work stream leads, US counterparts, program manager and vendor on key project deliverables and dependencies.
  • Develop a communication and training strategy on impacts from IFRS 17 related to the Actuarial function.
  • Manage your team’s operations by organizing, planning and monitoring the optimal use of human resources in accordance with the company’s strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Act as a councillor to decision makers by presenting a rational point of view supported by quantitative assessment and offer appropriate recommendations.
  • Manage performance reviews, training and coaching of your team members in order to attain the company’s strategic objectives. Foster teamwork and lead training and development for team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Solid actuarial experience including four years in management.
  • University Degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics.
  • Professional experience in P&C insurance.
  • FCIA or FCAS designation required.
  • Working proficiency in English is required; bilingualism is an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
