RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage international consulting relationships with client at senior management level. Handle difficult and challenging clients and receive positive feedback. Use wide breadth and depth of experience to reach sound judgments. Adds value and develop client focused solutions. Be able to think laterally to develop creative practical solutions to meet client needs.
  • Determine client requirements and brief client team. Provide guidance and direction to ensure deadlines, service standards and budget are met. Provide clear peer review advice for colleagues. Contributes information to the company and ensures client records are up to date for business reporting, for both clients and prospects.
  • Proactively sell and win services to new and existing clients. Generate a measurable contribution in increased revenue & margins. Understand financial metrics of business and will apply this to support business goals. Speak confidently about value, pricing & budgets with clients and agree appropriate costs. Uncover commercial possibilities.
  • Make a measurable contribution through specialist research, developing IC, improving processes and representing company at external seminars. Represent LOB at internal seminars.
  • Adopt as appropriate the relevant role as a Sponsor or Peer Reviewer of a project team and put good projects on the intranet to ensure sharing of Intellectual capital.
  • Delegate and act as a mentor/role model, engaging staff to deliver business results. Ensure team maintains leading edge expertise by supporting learning and skills development for self and others. Attract and engage the best talent.
  • Raise profile of international consulting. Will have a high degree of credibility with colleagues in other LOB.
  • Builds partnerships across LOB and geographies to maximize benefits to clients and colleagues.
  • Help dictate long term business strategy, direction and focus. Understand business & marketing goals. Take steps to ensure self and team actively work towards these goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 10 years work experience within an International Pensions or Broader Employee Benefits environment.
  • Specialized knowledge of all retirement, risk and finance related products and services. Ability to consult on all products within the international retirement and health & welfare market and advise clients of appropriate choices for their situation.
  • Actuarial credentials.
