RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing and/or reviewing catastrophe modelling by Companies and Service Providers.
  • Ensuring adherence to best practices and covering activities tied to the Company Solvency II approved internal model framework, all in close contact with Reinsurance and Risk Management.
  • Strengthening the Company tools and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
  • University degree in a quantitative discipline, preferably actuarial sciences, engineering, geophysics, physics, etc.
  • English knowledge, as she/he needs to be comfortable with writing reports, memos and presentations in English, and in communicating within a multinational environment and to an international audience.
  • Programming experience, especially for query and data processing.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and VBA.
  • Nice to have:
  • PhD, ideally in subjects linked to meteorology and climate change or otherwise in natural catastrophes.
  • Experience in the field, ideally with a leading insurer, reinsurer, broker or catastrophe modelling company and having used and evaluated catastrophe models and possibly followed cat exposure management processes.
  • Catastrophe modelling experience in using one or more of the main vendor model platform.
