  • Rresponsible for the completion of actuarial valuations for multiemployer pension plans, public pension plans and other projects. Projects include but may not be limited to valuation activities and special project work addressing a myriad of unique and emerging retirement plan issues posed by client organizations.
  • Researching and gathering information.
  • Reviewing and analyzing work products including plan data and financial statements.
  • Providing input to the development of solutions.
  • Creating and updating valuation programs and spreadsheet applications.
  • Assisting with report preparation and government filings.
  • Working with actuarial and consulting staff to support their effective presentation of work product to clients.
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related discipline.
  • Completion of at least two actuarial exams with intent to attain actuarial accreditation.
  • 1-3 years of retirement plan actuarial experience in a consulting environment.
  • Relevant computer programming and software skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Detail-orientation, organization and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively within a diverse group.
