RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform analyses using actuarial data, disclose relevant assumptions, observations and conclusions to the appropriate stakeholders and make recommendations within the established timeline.
  • Master the actuarial work processes to be able to recommend improvements and implement approved modifications.
  • Responsible to find solutions and assist colleagues with their problem-solving of complex situations by sharing understanding of difficult actuarial concepts and providing training.
  • Contribute actively to the team’s work by considering the priorities. Coach and mentor team-mates to assist team and create efficiencies.
  • Participate in all-things-analysis, including cost-benefit, to help determine the best solutions to meet business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Finance or Economics, is a must.
  • Completed a minimum of six Actuarial Exams from the CAS preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience in an Actuarial position.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Statistical Analysis System, Visual Basic for Applications, P&C Insurance knowledge.
  • Experience in Predictive Modelling an asset
