RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support our consulting services and audit support assignments to defined benefit plan sponsors and government agencies, as well as audit support for various defined benefit plan sponsors.
  • Consulting services involve working closely with actuarial team members on actuarial funding and accounting valuation work, pension administration, support on complex pension transactions and a variety of other consulting opportunities.
  • For audit reviews, you will support the actuarial team in external audit of various clients including analysis and review of valuation methodologies and assumptions, valuation processes and data, experience studies and financial statement pension disclosures.
  • Opportunity to work on Pension Consulting work & Pension Audits.
  • Work on varied assignments with more Client facing opportunities.
  • Develop an understanding of the Project from start to finish and be able to look at the big picture.
  • Opportunity to work directly with Senior Leaders on various Projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.
  • A minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, mathematics or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Successfully completed 2 or more SOA exams.
  • Have an understanding of different accounting standards.
  • Excellent Project planning and Project management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as a part of a team.
  • Experience with ProVal or other actuarial programs is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual in French & English is an asset.
