  • Working with existing valuation/projection Prophet models to perform analysis of blocks.
  • Identifying, supporting and implementing new strategies for optimizing the balance sheet for all US business entities.
  • Monitoring and regular reporting for capital, liquidity and tax positions.
  • Support reserve credit security/collateral projections and capital forecasts.
  • Utilize technology to perform job functions more efficiently. Share technology solutions with other associates and work with the IT area to move ad hoc improvements into a controlled production environment.
  • Complete special assignments and projects for the department as necessary.
  • May perform other duties as required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field.
  • ASA or FSA designation.
  • 7+ years of actuarial experience within the Life Insurance industry is preferred.
  • 7+ years in financial valuation and modeling experience.
  • Experience managing projects, coordinating with team members outside Finance and effectively representing the department at various meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand broader picture and impact of decisions.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to make strategic decisions.
  • Building & maintaining relationships with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex models and perform valuation, modelling and analysis to deliver required results.
  • Technically astute within the actuarial discipline and industry software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written and relationship building.
  • Rapid and consistent increase in responsibilities in an organization, preferred.
