RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define, implement, and evolve the Group Retirement Services data strategy.
  • Support the overall development of Group Retirement Services strategy using strategic frameworks and problem solving techniques.
  • Champion analytics within Group Retirement Services - promote how analytics can help leaders uncover and drive business opportunities.
  • Advocate for Group Retirement Services’ data environment needs as part of Company’s broader investment in data & analytics capability.
  • Partner with the Canadian Analytics COE and Client Experience Office Analytics teams to leverage their deep data science capability.
  • Liaise with other Data & Analytics leaders within the company to learn about and bring analytics best practices into Group Retirement Services.
  • Deliver data inputs for key thought leadership reports using Group Retirement Services client data.
  • Support the ongoing analysis & reporting needs of various Group Retirement Services teams.
  • Embed continuous improvement processes within the team to augment the speed and quality of report delivery.
  • Maintain current knowledge of data analytics trends and developments.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop a team of analytics professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BSc/M.S. in a statistical, mathematical, or technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Big Data, common data structures, data visualization techniques, business intelligence techniques & statistical analysis tools.
  • Management consulting experience is an asset.
  • Group Retirement, Enterprise Services, Client Experience Office and relevant industry experience desired.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence peers to achieve a desired result.
  • Knowledge and experience of what the applications of analytics are to effectively identify how they can help resolve business problems or support opportunities.
  • Experience using strategic frameworks to develop business strategy.
  • Familiar with one or more statistical programming languages.
  • Strong analytic and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with data visualization techniques.
  • Proven track record around defining & implementing strategy.
  • Problem solving mindset.
  • Superior organizational skills, including process management to support workflow improvements.
  • Experience implementing Brighter Way Management System.
  • Organization agility and systems thinking.
  • Understanding of company’s data & analytics environment.
