  • You will provide thought leadership on pricing methodology and best practices for Individual Life and Living Benefits business.
  • You will own pricing manuals and will actively challenge and review company’s pricing assumptions alongside Biometric Research quantifying the impact of assumption changes on new business pricing in AXIS.
  • You will monitor the performance of our Individual Life and Living Benefits new business portfolio and recommend management actions.
  • You will lead the assessment of the impact of inforce changes and exceptions to existing reinsurance treaties and provide technical expertise on the subject.
  • You will also support executive and home office requests.
  • You will investigate new product opportunities and will ensure that the New Business Pricing team is aware of methodology and assumption changes.
  • Responsible for the design and pricing of financial reinsurance solutions for individual reinsurance business.
  • You will be managing project teams through all key aspects of the quoting process, including the client correspondence, reinsurance structure design, pricing, securing internal approvals, and treaties.
  • You will create an environment of teamwork, collaboration and excellence by instilling company values in everyday worklife.
  • You will hire, develop and retain a top talent team that is fully engaged and recognized as experts internally within company and externally with clients and partners.
  • You will foster a culture of feedback with timely feedback given to employees and other team members and engage in regular development discussions with employees to coach on career growth and development.
  • You will ensure all employees have a clear understanding of corporate, departmental and individual priorities and have challenging work and opportunities.
  • University Degree in Actuarial Science or similar and a Fellow of SOA.
  • 10+ years in life re/insurance pricing and/or valuation area.
  • Deep understanding of re/insurance concepts with knowledge of individual life and living benefits products and business.
  • Experience with financial reinsurance / capital relief transactions is an asset.
  • Excellent track record managing client relationships either if a client facing role or in a cross-functional project leadership capacity.
  • Leadership abilities, with experience in developing a teamwork environment and a positive work environment and attitude in direct reports.
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with Moody’s AXIS is required.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and effectiveness working under tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • You are technically astute and demonstrate a consistent need for achievement, a strong work ethic and a drive to make a difference.

  • You are an experienced people manager and have a solid track record managing a high-performing team and portfolio.
