RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides review, analysis on quarterly SII cash flows, roll forwards and corresponding ledger entries in accordance with established controls and procedures so that technical provisions are reported accurately within reporting deadlines. Obtains AVP, Corporate Actuary approval of results.
  • Manages and coordinates the semi-annual sensitivity reporting process so that prescribed sensitivities are delivered to the Home Office accurately and within reporting deadlines.
  • Provides APDM and RAFM steward support so that testing, implementation, and documentation of software upgrades/enhancements are conducted in accordance with established guidelines. Coordinates, through the Model Steward Committee, alignment of assumptions and model standards across the business lines.
  • Provides support for IFRS and Statutory initiatives in order to comply with regulatory reporting requirements for the applicable entity.
  • Manage and develop rotational Actuarial Associates.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ actuarial experience in life insurance or reinsurance.
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or international equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience working with various forms of reinsurance.
  • Intermediate/Advanced MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing and coordinating projects.
  • Experience with Solvency II or similar economic framework.
  • Excellent technical actuarial aptitude.
  • Experience with Risk Agility FM.
